Installation of Crown Support Systems

Often damage, decay or poor physical form can leave trees prone to failure. Due to the tree’s habitat, amenity, or emotional value it may not be desirable to remove the whole tree.

Crown support systems can sometimes be used to safely retain trees which would otherwise be felled.

We can install cable-bracing, or textile rope based systems, to support damaged or decayed limbs, and to promote stability of potentially weak tree structures. We may often carry out some crown reduction work to targeted parts of the tree to minimize the loading of the systems.

This is specialist work and is managed on a job by job basis. We must assess the trees health, potential safe & useful life expectancy, risk of harm to people & property and species suitability.

Support systems require routine inspection to ensure they do not deteriorate.
